11 DAY MOZAMBIQUE TOUR

11 DAY MOZAMBIQUE TOUR

Mozambique is a scenic southern African nation whose long Indian Ocean coastline is dotted with popular beaches like Tofo, as well as offshore marine parks. In the Quirimbas Archipelago, a 250km stretch of coral islands, mangrove-covered Ibo Island has colonial-era ruins surviving from a period of Portuguese rule. The Bazaruto Archipelago farther south has reefs which protect rare marine life including dugongs.

Day 1 Bilene

Your South African and Mozambique experience starts here. Welcome!

Pick up and OR Tambo Airport and travel to Mozambique. A filling breakfast and light lunch will be served on en-route.

Late afternoon we will check in at out over night lodge in Bilene. Once settled a dinner will be served.

Day 2 Free Activities

Experience the beautiful sandy beaches and warm waters early in the morning followed by a scrumptious breakfast with the beach in your view. After breakfast you will have some free time to explore, relax or mingle with the locals. We strongly suggest exploring the local market in town. A short hike along the beach (accompanied by your guide) will give you the opportunity to observe Hawksbill, green and Leather-back turtles.

Day 3 to 6 Barra Reef

After our last breakfast in Bilene we say goodbye and head north through the tropical country. There will be plenty of stops on the way to take pictures and to do some shopping. Once we’ve travelled through Inhambane we will make our way to Barra Reef area for your diving/snorkelling. You can spend the next two days fulfilling your diving/snorkelling dreams and relaxing on these stunning beaches. On the last day your guide will organize a swim with Whale sharks, Manta Rays and (depending on the time of the year) turtles.

All this will be accompanied by delicious locally made breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

Day 7-8 Marloth Park

After enjoying an unforgettable time on the Mozambique beaches and in its waters we return to South Africa. It is a short drive to Marloth Park where we will spend the night. Marloth park is a wildlife sanctuary close to the Kruger National Park and you will most likely see animals in the streets such as Impala and warthogs. You will have some free time here during the afternoon exploring the town and its culture.

Day 9-10 Kruger National Park
